Around 40 Claims Managers from leading General Insurance organisations gathered in Sydney this week for Finity’s General Insurance Claims Forum.
The forum featured updates from Finity’s Graeme Adams and Raj Kanhai on the latest claims trends and issues - highlighting the pressure Claims Managers are currently under due to increasing claims costs, new regulation, rising medical costs and disruptive technologies.
Finity’s Sue Freeman looked at the increasing challenges of Mental Health claims – currently the biggest source of work disability in Australia (with 1 in 5 Australians affected) and how insurers in an increasingly regulated environment are considering the needs of customers with Mental Health conditions.
The Forum concluded with a panel discussion featuring leading experts Rob Whelan, Executive director and CEO at Insurance Council of Australia, Charmian Holmes, The Fold Legal, Evelyn Halls, from AFCA and Drew McRae from the Financial Rights Legal Centre – who discussed the impact of regulatory changes on insurer business models.
Finity’s General Insurance Claims Forum is designed specifically for Claims Managers of General Insurance firms and is by invitation only. To express your interest in attending this event, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org .
