The Peter Corrigan Scholarship winner, Rebecca Zhang recently visited Finity to share her recent experiences of the INSEAD Management Acceleration Program (MAP) which she attended as result of her $10,000 scholarship award – sponsored by Finity.
“Through experiments and reflections, MAP helped me to challenge ‘what I know’. The experience helped me to gain a more accurate and deeper understanding of my leadership beliefs. For example, what do I really think about leadership? What is my image of a ‘leader’? What I have been taught versus what I believe? Sometimes it is not easy to find out my deepest beliefs, but with the help of the facilitators, they do come to the surface.” Rebecca speaking of her experience at MAP.
The Peter Corrigan Scholarship for Innovation and Leadership is offered every two years, and aims to recognise and foster the professional development of today’s insurance professionals. Supported by Finity Consulting and ANZIIF the scholarship also honours Peter Corrigan’s lifelong contribution to the insurance industry.
Rebecca’s winning submission was a 2,500-word essay entitled “Capitalising on the third industrial revolution”, that considered the impact of digitisation on general insurance and how our mindset and leadership needs to evolve to prepare for the third industrial revolution.
