Rod is a Principal of Finity and has over 20 years experience in accident compensation insurance especially government compensation schemes.

Rod has worked successfully in key roles with a number of government and commercial clients on projects such as:

•  assisting with responses to the NSW and South Australian WorkCover (government employees' compensation schemes) claims management tenders

•  strategic reviews of Government insurance arrangements, including reviews of scheme frameworks and premium structures

•  undertaking reviews of insurer risk management arrangements and developing Risk Management Strategies and other regulatory documents for insurers

•  forensic claims file reviews: evaluations against best practice and claims management process improvement initiatives

•  performance evaluations of workers compensation schemes

•  evaluation of major public tenders for workers compensation claims management and reinsurance broking services.

Rod's key achievements include:

•  developing strategy, contract management structure, fee structures and tender documentation for the Treasury Managed Fund tender to achieve a contestable market for Treasury Managed Fund claims management services

•  restructuring the remuneration package for claims managers to improve alignment between Scheme objectives and outcomes and insurer performance and remuneration

•  developing performance measures for service providers to the Treasury Managed Fund

•  leading a major reform program at WorkCover NSW focusing on reducing expenses, dispute prevention and dispute cost reduction.
