Ian is a Principal of Finity, focussing on Management Consulting, and supporting our Health Insurance clients. He has worked in the insurance industry for over 20 years, spanning general insurance, health insurance and life insurance/wealth management. He has particular expertise in strategy and pricing for health insurance, and capital management for multi-line/group insurers.

He has been active in providing advice to insurers and regulators including:

•  corporate strategy and capital management, and

•  pricing and reserving

Ian has been involved in developing Finity's views on valuations of health insurers, and in providing capital and investment advice to health insurance clients. He has previously advised Government departments and regulators on health insurance issues.

Prior to joining Finity Ian was the Group Executive - Corporate and Capital Management for MBF Australia. At MBF he was responsible for strategy, treasury and capital management, M&A and all actuarial aspects across the Group. Reporting to the CEO, he also advised the Board on key aspects of his portfolio. Before MBF, Ian was a partner at Trowbridge Deloitte, and a Principal of Trowbridge - the predecessor firms of Finity.
