Estelle is a Principal and Managing Director of Finity. She has almost 20 years of general insurance experience.
Estelle has worked with a large number of clients from both the private and public sectors over the years on a diverse range of issues, both actuarial and strategic in nature. Particular areas of expertise are medical malpractice insurance, CTP insurance, public liability and professional indemnity insurance, reinsurance and lenders mortgage insurance.
Key assignments/achievements include:
• regular research and publication of papers and presentations on the public liability market commencing in 1997
• working with the HIH Royal Commission as an actuarial expert during 2002 including work on financial reinsurance and actuarial reserving questions
• working with the Federal Treasury on the liability crisis in 2002 including co-authoring the report "Public Liability Insurance - Practical Proposals for Reform"
• appointment as an APRA inspector in 2005 to investigate financial reinsurance issues
• working with the medical indemnity industry in 2002 on regulatory reforms to the provision of medical indemnity cover to doctors.
Estelle holds a number of Appointed Actuary and External Peer Review Actuary positions.
