Aaron is a Principal of Finity and the leader of Finity's CTP practice. He has worked in the general insurance industry for more than 10 years. He has particular expertise in lenders mortgage insurance, CTP and accident compensation schemes reserving, pricing and capital management.
He has been active in providing advice to insurers, regulators and industry bodies including:
• CTP reserving, pricing, capital management and strategy
• LMI reserving, pricing and capital modelling.
Aaron has been involved in developing Finity's risk margin intellectual property and in providing capital and investment strategy advice to Government and private sector insurers using DFA techniques. He is currently the Appointed Actuary for two insurers.
Prior to joining Finity, Aaron was the Manager, Actuarial and Financial Strategies for the Transport Accident Commission in Victoria. At the TAC he was responsible for reserving, pricing, high level monitoring of scheme experience and financial strategy setting. He advised senior management, the Board and the Victorian Department of Treasury and Finance.
Since 2002 Aaron has been a member of the Long Term Care task force of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia responsible for investigating issues relevant to compensation for the catastrophically injured. Aaron has co-authored papers relating to CTP in Australia.
