How Finity can assist

Data Analytics Development of claims triage models, segmentation analysis to identify micro-trends within portfolios, provider performance assessment and fraud identification.
Strategy Strategic questions are usually financial, but may also encompass customer satisfaction, regulatory compliance and dispute resolution. We take the time to gain a deep understanding of your business and financial goals. For many clients, to tackle strategic challenges, we run Board workshops to discuss and achieve buy-in at the highest level.
Dynamic Financial Analysis (DFA)

We work with many schemes and insurers to develop DFA models of their business. Clients use this to inform Boards and management of risks in the business and to assist in asset allocation, capital management, dividend strategy and reinsurance purchasing decisions.
Claims management

Ensure your claims operation is best practice. We can conduct claim file reviews against your policies and procedures to identify any inconsistencies and suggestions for improvement.
Agent remuneration and cost assessments We assist with agent remuneration frameworks and profitability assessment under different claims outcome and staff level scenarios.
Provider management and incentive structures When relying on third parties to influence your claim outcomes it is important to get the incentives right. We work with both underwriters and providers to develop referral tools, fee models and performance monitoring to ensure there is an alignment of interests between the parties.
Prudential framework

We work with state governments to develop frameworks for government owned insurers, recognising some of the unique challenges of these organisations.
Reinsurance Strategy

There are many challenges in managing the long term risks of these liability classes. We work with our clients to identify reinsurance strategies that provide real protection without unrealistic cost pressures
Medical Indemnity We have been providing advice to insurers and government schemes in this niche market for more than 20 years. We hold Appointed Actuary roles for two medical indemnity insurers and provide the full range of our services to these specialised insurers.
Asbestos-related disease (ARD) We currently work with 15 defendants, insurers and reinsurers with significant ARD liabilities in Australia and over the last 25 years have advised many more. The body of knowledge we have developed through this work and our research provides us with unparalleled knowledge of the ARD medical and claim environment in Australia and overseas. LINK
Tort temperature

Pressure on claims from the legal world is real. We can help you understand your ‘tort temperature’ and how best to manage reserves and claims strategies. This advice often uncovers business opportunities and can help set a refined underwriting strategy.
