Finity’s Client Function at the Art Gallery
March 22nd, 2010
For the fourth year in succession, Finity hosted clients and friends at the S. H. Ervin Gallery at Sydney’s Observatory Hill on Wednesday the 3rd March. Our guests came from as far as New Zealand and joined this year’s artist, Nicholas Harding, in what was a casual and colourful evening viewing oil painted images stretching over Nicholas’ 25 year career.
The evening provided an opportunity for networking and catching up with old friends in the general insurance industry. And to ensure the conversations were not all about work, the Archibald Prize and Dobell Drawing Prize winning artist was on hand during the evening to share his work and a drink with our guests. During an interview with Finity’s Gae Robinson, Nicholas talked about some of his inspirations as an artist, including how Australian beaches have been an integral part of his work. He also talked about his introduction as a migrant from England to bindies. He and his brother had been told to look out for snakes and spiders, but were not warned about Australian grass!
Congratulations go to Anna Gladman of BT Financial Group for winning the lucky door prize – a copy of a Nicholas Harding work. Also to Tim Andrews for winning the Finity staff door prize – Nicholas Harding’s signed catalogue and memorabilia.
